Our Mission

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Loveland Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

In 1987, Loveland Habitat for Humanity was founded by a small group of Loveland’s community and religious leaders, who recognized a growing need for safe and affordable housing for Loveland’s low to moderate-income residents. Their goal was to provide a hand-up, not a hand-out, to help families build and purchase an affordable home. 35 years later, through the hard work of homeowners and volunteers, over 160 homes and 28 home preservation projects have been completed.

No matter who we are or where we come from, we all deserve to have a decent life. We deserve to feel strength and stability day after day. We deserve to know we have the power to take care of ourselves and build our own futures.

Our shared vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Habitat volunteers build houses in partnership with families in need of decent, affordable housing. The houses are then sold to the families with an affordable mortgage and no interest.

We empower families to own their own home, and have income available to invest in education, pursue opportunity, and have more financial stability.

The primary goal of Loveland Habitat for Humanity is to build strength, stability and self-reliance for families through access to permanent shelter.
